Revenues up by 50% for Interchange Group in 2016

The Interchange Group announced record results for 2016, with the number of worldwide customers rising above 3,300,000 and turnover increasing to more than €550,000,000. In addition to these results, in the last quarter the Company negotiated a number of renewals of its international airport contracts. The Interchange Group posts a record year

Strong growth was recorded in all sectors from our 2,500,000 customers with turnover rising above €500,000,000. Airport operations rose by 44%, ATM earnings by 74% and African margins were up by 150%. Overall Net Operating Surplus was up by 26%. Gianluca Rossi joins Interchange with a specific and challenging brief to expand its European operations which currently span seven countries and major airports in Austria, Hungary and Poland. Gianluca has strong industry experience with top corporates including Eurochange and Maccorp and most recently with Best & Fast where as CEO he rapidly expanded their Italian operations. Interchange acquires retail operations of Western Union in France and Austria

Interchange, a leading provider of money transfer and foreign currency services, has acquired Western Union’s (WU) dedicated stores in Vienna, Paris, and in the principal regional cities of France. The acquisition involves 26 stores and approx. 150 people including one of the single busiest sites in WU’s worldwide network.
