Interchange South Africa offers international payments through a unique service from a secure standalone terminal

Interchange South Africa has received regulatory consent to offer international payments through a unique service from a secure standalone terminal.

Partnering with UBank, a specialised financial provider to the country’s gold and platinum industries serving mineworkers and their families for more than 40 years, Interchange will employ Western Union systems to enable customers to transact at their place of work. Initial services are being in the main mining centres of Rustenburg, Marikana, Notham,Carletonville, and Westonaria.

Managing Director Adrian Coetzee commented “we are excited by the potential and welcome the collaboration with UBank. This is a first in South Africa, it is an ability to economically provide transfer opportunity across the country.”
